Red, blue + white....well cream, close enough!

After a recent request for a royal blue bangle commission, I've been inspired to mix the colour in with some of my other pieces for a wee 'british' range. The rings are available now in my etsy shop. Im also going to be sending some to a new gallery opening soon... BOO gallery, castle ashby, Northamptonshire, is opening its doors in time for the royal jubilee celebrations. There will be a weekend of jubilee celebrations so thought these rings would be great for the show. Think 'lizzy' should bag one for herself before they all go! ha! ha! x

Sorry I haven't blogged in ages..had a bit of a busy time with birthday celebrations, and taking a little break from work was great. Apart from that I've just been quietly slaving away in the studio on some new pieces for my show at JAM gallery, Eton later this month. Nearly finished all the pieces now, here's a wee peek at the main necklace for the show-been sticking with the bright yellow colour, it's great for this time of year! I haven't made a massive necklace in ages so it's been good trying things out! Here's the flyer for a charity exhibition ill be taking part in early april. The exhibition is for the childrens cancer charity 'CLIC-sargent'. The exhibition will be held at 1a Douglas crescent, edinburgh on friday the 6th april 6-8.30 and continues saturday 12-6pm and sunday 12 - 5pm. Please come along and show your support if you can x

school visit...

On monday I had a visit from Jill Brown and her higher art class students from Beath High School in Cowdenbeath, Fife. They are currently doing a recycled jewellery project as part of their course and Jill thought it would be a good idea for them to come and see what a designer/makers studio looked like, how things are made, and to see some of the equipment needed.

I hope they all enjoyed the morning, I know merryn (hannah's staffie) loved having you all here! I would have loved to have seen peoples studios when I was at school. I don't think I knew this world existed until I was at college. Anyway thanks for the visit and hope your project goes well! Jill-thanks for the chocolates, they went down a treat x
